Learn more about why we initiated the Healthcare Improvement Trailblazers (HIT) Community and what the goals are
Together for better healthcare: The overall goal of the HIT Community is to unite leaders in healthcare improvement (HCI) and provide a forum to exchange ideas, promote collaboration, and effect change. The Executive Insight HIT Community hosts both in-person summits and virtual forums to foster dialogue and share insights among leaders in HCI.
While healthcare improvement (HCI) is a focus for many, siloed efforts can result in missed opportunities for a larger impact. The US healthcare system is on an ongoing journey of improvement and implementation set out by recent legislation, with increasing urgency to address critical challenges, including:
The HIT Community provides a platform to unite stakeholders passionate about solving critical challenges facing US care delivery. Their joint vision: Improve care for patients through collaboration, learning, & action towards sustainable and scalable HCI initiatives. Patient advocacy groups, industry, medical societies, education providers, health insurers, providers, healthcare professionals, and pathway and guideline decision-makers are coming together. Their objectives include:
The HIT Summit unites key healthcare stakeholders under one common goal: breaking silos and empowering changemakers. Across three days, we gather key members of the US healthcare ecosystem to discuss the critical care gaps that can be impacted through healthcare improvement initiatives, to learn from success cases and to consider opportunities for action as a collective group.
Attendees span health system representatives, medical societies, medical education providers, payers, policy makers, patient advocacy representatives and the pharmaceutical industry. Day 1 and 2 always address the entire cross-stakeholder group, with Day 3 focusing only on our industry representatives.
The HIT Community Forum is a virtual event, which takes place twice every year, and is dedicated to HCI. Since the inaugural 2023 HIT Summit, the HIT Community Forum has provided a valuable opportunity to continue engaging with stakeholders and maintaining momentum towards improving care. These meetings allow stakeholders, including industry, to continue the discussions from the latest HIT Summit and to chart progress in the drive towards better HCI.
