Executive Insight works exclusively for (bio)pharmaceutical companies on a global scale. Our direct clients are mostly part of Global or Regional Headquarters and from different functional teams such as Market Access, Marketing, Medical, Government Affairs, etc.
Are people dedicated to one Value Proposition or can get exposure to several different type of projects?
At Executive Insight we foster the development of all individuals. Therefore, especially when starting off, we try to ensure that people have the opportunity to see a broad variety of projects. Based on background, interest and experience, a gradual specialization on individual value propositions is possible and supported.
Our projects don’t have a standardized duration, as this strongly depends on the objectives and methodologies applied. They can range from a short assignment of around one month to several months, up to a year, for multi-phase projects.
At Executive Insight team members of all levels will have direct exposure to clients from very early on. Interacting and engaging with our clients is a key part of our daily job. The nature of client interactions is usually a mix between face to face meetings and phone or video conferences, depending on the project and client preferences.
The amount of travel expected of you will depend on the nature of the project, as well as the client. While Executive Insight team members are mostly based in our offices and don’t work at the client site on a regular basis, an average of 1-2 days travel per week is realistic.
Executive Insight project teams are set-up based on project needs and typically consist of about 3 people with members across seniority levels and from a mix of scientific and business backgrounds.
Executive Insight believes in supporting its employees in different life stages and situations. Therefore we offer part-time working models, adapting to different individual needs. We believe in freedom and focus on results, so we enable home office set-ups. However, in order to maintain a coherent team and foster integration, we do require presence in the office on a regular basis. If these are topics of interest to you, we encourage you to discuss this possibility with us as part of your application and recruiting process.
The social component is very important at Executive Insight, as it allows us to strengthen our team spirit beyond project work. Once a year we all go abroad for an off-site team event where we celebrate the team and our successes. In summer time we come together for a summer event and some internal training. In winter, a leisure ski event is organized. On a more regular basis we enjoy coming together at company drinks nights to catch-up with our colleagues outside of work and have fun.
The strength of Executive Insight’s team is its diversity and a balance between scientific and business backgrounds. Therefore, a scientific background is not a pre-requisite. However, a genuine and strong interest in working in the healthcare and (bio)pharmaceutical industry is a must.
At Executive Insight we care about helping each other learn and grow. This is not only achieved through a collaborative and supportive working style on projects, but also through a structured coaching program. Every team member has a personal coach who accompanies him/her throughout the year to set objectives, have regular touch-points, support performance evaluations and identify further improvement areas moving forward. The coach is a person of trust and helps the coachee to successfully navigate through all kinds of situations and within the company.
The entrepreneurial spirit at Executive Insight is something we all share. This means that all of us are not only working on client projects, but also engage in a set of internal activities which can range from supporting thought leadership development, to organizing internal trainings, social events, and writing internal blogs. Which internal activity an employee is involved with depends on personal interest, experience and skills, as well as availability. The most important thing is that we all contribute to the development of the organization and have an opportunity to shape it to its best.
Executive Insight is proud of its low turnover rate, as it allows us to retain and develop talent. Our alumni have mostly gone on to join (bio)pharmaceutical companies, switch careers to follow a passion.
At Executive Insight, we want the whole recruiting process to be a positive experience. We believe being well prepared for your interviews will allow you to feel less stressed, perform at your best and be yourself. We are interested in understanding how you will fit with the organization, as well as assessing your capabilities and skills for the role you are applying to. In order to prepare, we recommend that you reflect on your motivation, expectations and what type of work environment you’re looking for. As for capabilities and skills, we recommend that you practice some case studies beforehand. There is a lot of material easily available online. Please keep in mind that we are not looking for you to apply standardized frameworks, but rather display thinking that is structured, logical, analytical and creative.
